About the Project

My name is Chase Harpole.  This past summer I participated in a study abroad program in Meknes, Morocco. While I expected to experience an amazing culture and make new friends, I never expected to find family. In nine short weeks, Walid went from a total stranger to my brother. His situation is dire, but his heart is pure. He doesn’t deserve what fate has doled out to him, and I hope to fix that wrong. My goal is to keep Walid off the street and provide him the means, and the opportunity, to finish his education. Up until he met me, no other person in his life was willing, or capable, of doing this for him, but I don’t think I will be the last. I hope that others will come to know Walid as I have, and decide to join me in this endeavor. I can’t do it alone.
